Dr. Meredith Scott a board certified orthodontist and the 2025-2026 TAO Board President. She is a lifelong Texan who loves her profession, her patients, and her beautiful state.
Dr. Scott has deep roots in the Houston area, and is now an integral part of her community in Friendswood. She grew up in Conroe, and attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas for her undergraduate degree. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical science, and then decided to apply for a Doctorate degree program at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. She married her husband, Craig Scott, during her first year of dental school, and went on to complete her Doctorate in Dental Surgery with honors.
After dental school, Dr. Scott knew she wanted to pursue a career in orthodontics, so she completed a Master of Science in Dentistry and Orthodontic Residency at the Saint Louis University in St. Louis.

Dr. Scott and her husband enjoyed their time in St. Louis, but they were eager to return to Texas and start a family. They settled in the Clear Lake area and Dr. Scott joined Dr. Larry Radney in his practice in January 2005.

He was an excellent mentor and teacher, and they worked together for twelve years as Radney Scott Orthodontics. After Dr. Radney retired, Dr. Scott changed the name of the practice to Scott Orthodontics.

A couple of years after moving back to Texas, Dr. Scott and her husband welcomed their daughter, Sarah, into the family. Their second child, Declan, was born 10 years later and, in Dr. Scott’s words, “keeps us young!” When she isn’t at the office, she loves to spend time with her family, swim, bike, and make beaded and wire jewelry.
In addition to running her private practice, Dr. Scott works part-time as the Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. To stay up-to-date on the latest in orthodontic research and technology. Dr. Scott also participates in myriad courses through the American Association of Orthodontists and the graduate departments of her alma mater, the University of Texas and University of St. Louis. She also participates in several study clubs, such as the Texas Orthodontic Study Club and the Water’s Edge Orthodontic Study Club.
Dr. Scott has a heart for her community, and sponsors her patients’ extra-curricular activities, sports and dance teams, and gives talks at local elementary schools. Her office in Webster is less than ten minutes from the Johnson Space Center and the NASA Mission Control center, and she appreciates the opportunity to work with patients who are part of the NASA family.
“It is a joy discussing orthodontic treatment with intelligent individuals interested in the intricacies and engineering of orthodontics…” Dr. Meredith Scott
What Dr. Scott loves most about her profession is the opportunity to make lasting and positive change for all her patients. “Most gratifying is seeing kids develop and grow into teens who are confident, responsible, and happy with themselves. I’m given the rare opportunity to influence and encourage them to do their best in all things.”
