Heather Luong

Dr. Luong has called Houston her home since the age of six. Her hard working ethics and dedication to excellence culminated in her graduation from the University of Texas in Austin in 2008 as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with Honors.  After her undergraduate, Dr. Luong returned to Houston to attend the University of Texas School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and graduated as an inductee of the Pierre Fauchard Academy for her outstanding academic achievements. In dental school, Dr. Luong’s dedication to technology and research and advancing the field of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics led her be the recipient of many scholarships and awards like Edgar H. Boelsche Scholarship, Donald Charles Kroeger Research Scholarship, and Quintessence Award for Research Achievement. Dr. Luong is also a two time consecutive 1st place winner at the Star of the South Annual Research Meeting. Aside from a commitment to research, Dr. Luong’s commitment to serving her peers was evident in her role as President of the Asian American Student Dental Association and President of the Student Research Group.

Driven by a strong passion for orthodontics, Dr. Luong completed three years of orthodontic residency, earning her Orthodontic Certificate and a Masters of Business in Administration at Roseman University of Health Sciences.  With the highest commitment to excellence as her priority, Dr. Luong took the extra initiative to voluntarily complete hundreds of more hours of preparation and underwent additional examination to become a board-certified orthodontist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, all to demonstrate her ability to offer the highest level of care to her patients. Since graduating, Dr. Luong believes in lifelong learning and continues to refine her skills and knowledge through attending conferences, taking continuing education classes, and being alert at the forefront of innovative technology to assure the absolute best for her patients.
