Dr. Sheela Kudchadker is a licensed specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics who has been practicing orthodontics for over 25 years. Dr. Kudchadker earned her degree in dentistry at the University of Maryland Dental School, the world's first dental school. She graduated top five in her class, with high honors (magna cum laude), receiving numerous awards on graduation including the Outstanding Student in Orthodontics Award and the Outstanding Student in Pediatric Dentistry Award. Induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an elite honorary dental society, was bestowed upon Dr. Kudchadker immediately upon eligibility. Following dental school, Dr. Kudchadker completed a three-year residency program to specialize in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. During her residency program, Dr. Kudchadker also obtained her Master's Degree in Oral Biology from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in New Jersey, to further enhance her knowledge of the complex inter-relationship of the teeth, jaws and soft tissues. She continues to stay on top of all orthodontic and dental related scientific findings by attending the latest meetings throughout the country.
