Dr. Sarah Jovanovski graduated with honors from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was accepted into the prestigious Case School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. From here, she earned her Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree. While at Case, Dr. Jovan was elected by faculty members into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, which was created in 1914 for dental students who distinguish themselves by a high grade of scholarship and character. Dr. Jovan has received many awards, including the coveted Eleanor J. Bushee Award given by the American Association of Women Dentists for Outstanding Academic Excellence and Leadership.
During dental school, Dr. Jovan was quick to develop a love for orthodontics. She was accepted into Louisiana State University for an additional two years of specialty training in orthodontics. At LSU, Dr. Jovan developed the caring and compassionate bedside manner that she shares with her patients today.
Dr. Jovan is a published author on the subject of dental education. She was awarded for the best dental educational research of 2006 for her article in The Journal of Dental Education titled: Students' Perceptions of Effective Learning Experiences in Dental School: A Qualitative Study Using Critical Incident Technique.
Dr. Jovan participates in various continuing education courses in order to provide her patients with the newest and best treatments available. She is also involved with the American Association of Orthodontists, Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Lone Star Dental Seminar Group, and the Capital Area Dental Society.
