Native to North Texas, I worked as a mechanical engineer for Motorola before returning to school at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in downtown Dallas where I earned a doctor of dental surgery degree, masters of science in oral biology, and certificate in orthodontics. I was honored to receive the prestigious Harry Sicher Research Award, one of the highest orthodontic research awards in all the United States and Canada for my masters research on the speed of tooth movement.

I love making beautiful smiles for my patients in Denton and Krum, Texas. Quality care in a warm, family oriented environment is my practice focus and our patients have noticed. No case is too simple or too complex. In my engineering days, we often said, "Keep It Simple" and this is what I strive to do everyday. However, some patients truly need jaw surgery to achieve the optimum bite or improvement in their breathing and I am comfortable working with these patients as well.

While I truly enjoy being in the clinic interacting with my patients and their families, I feel it is important to help the profession improve itself and protect patient safety. I am a past-President of the Texas Association of Orthodontics, where we worked tirelessly to guide our profession into the future while protecting patient safety. Continuing this effort, I am now serving as a Governor Abbott appointee to the Texas State Dental Board on the Dental Review Committee where I review patient complaints and help ensure dentists treat patients safely. In addition, I serve on the American Association of Orthodontics' Council of Government Affairs where I will meet annually with federal legislators to discuss legislation with an emphasis on patient safety. Furthermore, I believe it’s important to stay on the cutting edge of orthodontics. To this end, I achieved board certification by the American Board of Orthodontics (a distinction only 1 out of 4 orthodontists achieve) and I attend numerous hours of continuing education to stay informed of the latest orthodontic treatment methods. Yes, this takes a lot of hard work, but your smile is worth it!
