Ryan Noel Reyes was born and raised in South Texas. The oldest son of two high school teachers, Ryan attended the John B. Alexander Magnet for Health Science in Laredo, TX, where he also acted as a role model for his two younger siblings – also currently in the healthcare profession. After graduating Valedictorian of his high school class, Ryan left home for The University of Texas at Austin with the promise to return once his education was completed. He majored in Chemistry, engaged in research to complete his Honors Thesis, and spent almost all of the rest of his free time as a member of the Longhorn Marching Band. Ryan then relocated about 100 miles south down I-35 to San Antonio, where he completed dental school and was accepted into UTHSCSA’s graduate orthodontics program in 2013. It was here that Ryan met his lovely wife, Alessandra – also an orthodontics resident. Together, they stated an orthodontics practice in Laredo, TX (The Smile Shoppe Orthodontic Specialists) to provide a needed service to one of the fastest-growing communities in the country.

In their leisure time, Dr. Reyes and his wife Dr. Chacon enjoy traveling, the outdoors, movies, and most of all, spending time with their 1-year-old daughter Sophie.
